Men's Final Four Preview
- UVa vs. Auburn – This is it. These two have beat the odds to make it to the Final Four. UVa, of course, lost to a 16 seed last year in the first round, and an insane last second play during the Elite Eight helped them punch their ticket to the Final Four this year. Auburn has been taking down everyone. All the blue bloods. That includes Kansas, UNC and Kentucky. So they’ve really messed up a lot of people’s days, and it doesn’t look like they plan to stop. UVa is the only No.1 seed left in the tournament, and their superior defense will make all the difference here. Auburn is missing its best player currently bc of an ACL injury, but that didn’t stop them in the Elite Eight. The early game should be a good one. Tip off is at 6:09.
- Michigan State vs. Texas Tech – Tom Izzo’s Spartans have made it to the Final Four eight times, while this is the first go around for Texas Tech. Michigan State took down Duke to be here in the Elite Eight, and the Red Raiders defeated No. 1 Gonzaga. They will have a huge test against Michigan State star Cassius Winston. Me thinks this one will go to Michigan State. But Texas Tech is certainly one hot team right now.
Women’s Final Four preview
- Oregon vs. Baylor – HUGE opportunity for the Ducks here. Quack, quack. They could be the first west coast team to win the National Championship since 1992. But first, they will have to get through Baylor. Baylor won the title in 2012, and they have literally dominated all their opponents in the tournament this year. They have the nation’s best defense and the one-two punch of 6-foot-7 Kalani Brown and 6-4 Lauren Cox. This is Oregon’s first trip to the Final Four, and the people have been equating them to the Golden State Warriors. Not a shabby team to be compared to. They tip off at 7 p.m. tonight. Idk I think I’m thinking Go Ducks, right?
- UConn vs. Notre Dame – Oh, UConn. A true sports dynasty if there ever was one. This is their 12th consecutive Final Four and they are hoping to play for their 12th National Title. But first they will have to go through their biggest rival and the defending champions. The thing is, Notre Dame is even better this year. They are healthier, more experienced and ready to keep the crown. Also, their coach is the best. Muffett McGraw (best name in the history of names) laid down the TRUTH this week in her press conference. Watch this if you wanna run through a brick wall.
