NFL Playoffs: Divisional Round

  • Colts vs. Chiefs – So the Colts won their Wildcard matchup over the Texans pretty easily last week, but now they have to go into Arrowhead. It’s the toughest stadium to play in and they are playing the No. 1 seeded Kansas City Chiefs. *Gulp* Their seasons were almost exactly the same but opposite. Opposite twinsies, if you will. The Chiefs started the season 5-0 while the Colts went 1-5. Basically, the Colts need to keep Chiefs rookie sensation QB Patrick Mahomes and his insanely explosive offense off the field. So the definite favorites are the Chiefs and that’s all there is to say about that.
  • Cowboys vs. Rams – It’s a battle of the running backs in this matchup. The Cowboys Ezekiel Elliott vs. the Rams Todd Gurley. These teams have also met the most times in the playoffs of any two teams – a record nine times. Neither team has made it to the NFC Championship in a hot minute. The Cowboys since 1996 and the Rams since 2002. The Cowboys are also absolutely terrible on the road in the playoffs – so add that to the list of why the Rams have the advantage this weekend.
  • Chargers vs. Patriots – So America’s dad (literally he has seven kids so he is basically everyone’s dad) Philip Rivers has been on the struggle bus when he plays in Foxborough. He’s 0-4, and furthermore he is 0-7 when Tom Brady is quarterback. These are terrible odds! One thing that will help is the Chargers have been fabulous on the road this season. The Patriots are well-rested and ready to roll this weekend, so me thinks they will take this one and head on down the road toward the AFC Championship.
  • Eagles vs. Saints – The Eagles made it to this game by the skin of their teeth (Bears kicker missing the last second field goal to get the win last week, anyone?) so now they play the top seeded Saints. New Orleans dominated Philly earlier in the season, but that was before the Eagles turned things around at the end of the regular season. The Saints top playmakers are Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas, so you can bet the Eagles will be looking to shut them down. But they do have the magical playoff wizard Nick Foles, who could once again again prove he is the reason the Eagles are in this position. I kinda feel like the Eagles will pull this one off!

Off the market

Welp, it happened. Tim Tebow is officially heading to the chapel and he is taking 23-year-old former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters with him. The two have been dating for a bit, and he asked her to marry him in a very beautiful, very not staged proposal. There is no way she didn’t know this was coming. Her hair and makeup is 10000% professionally done. No one just walks around with pink eye shadow and heels on pine straw and doesn’t know something big is happening that day. Her ring is a whopping 7.25 carats (!!!!) so stay tuned for what is sure to be a subtle wedding. Congrats, to the happy couple!
