TDR: Not in Kansas anymore

- That’s all, folks. Kansas has won 14-straight regular season Big 12 titles, but they will fall short this season. They lost to Oklahoma last night, and based on sports math, they mathematically can’t win the regular season title, so it will come down to either Kansas State or Texas Tech this year. Don’t cry because it’s over, Kansas! Smile because it happened … and you could still win the Big 12 tournament. It honestly was such an impressive streak. Snaps for Kansas.
- You know the old saying: sometimes all you need is a long plane ride to clear your head. The Celtics have had some up and down moments as a team this season, but last night they killed the Warriors on the road. Kyrie Irving said it’s all thanks to the long trip out to California. There has been lots of ~drama~ surrounding the organization as of late and speculation as to whether or not they are living their best lives. Kyrie said he had some important conversations on the plane that got everyone just focused on winning the games ahead. I imagine everyone rotating through small group time and writing down their feelings using “I” statements. Communication is key, guys, and it paid off last night.

Fishing for Trout
Bryce Harper is already working his magic in Philly. He’s got his eye on next year’s free agency prize, and isn’t scared to shout it from the mountaintops. So Angels star Mike Trout will be up for grabs in 2020, and Harper said, “If you think I’m not going to call Mike Trout in 2020 to have him come to Philly, you’re crazy.” Obviously, Bryce Harper would like Mike Trout in Philly bc he is incredible. The only problem is he might be in trouble for saying that, because it could be perceived as tampering. Tampering aka negotiating with players on other teams is not allowed, and Bryce could be hit with a fine or some kind of punishment. The part that could save him, however, is the fact he said he would contact him “in 2020.” Nice work, Bryce. Always qualify. Always use allegedly. Always say “in 2020”.

Pitt of misery
So, Antonio Brown is probably, officially being traded from the Steelers on Friday. It’s looking like AB will either be heading to Oakland, Washington or Tennessee. There are a few more that have jumped into the mix as of late, but those three are the main ones. Antonio has been all over the place the last few months with his weird Instagram Lives, his meetings with the top brass demanding a trade and other antics. So peace be with you , Antonio. May you find it outside of Pittsburgh.
