TDR: Swing, Dabo Dabo Dabo, swing

Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney gets to go down a slide every day to go to work, and now he got to continue living childhood fantasies by taking batting practice with the St. Louis Cardinals. Not too shabby, coach. Swing looks pretty good. He also bestowed his infinite wisdom upon the team and now doubt explained to them his secret to winning two national championships in three seasons. Dabo has a backup if that whole gig at Clemson doesn’t work out.

Oh boy, looks like there’s gonna be a new gunslinger in Jacksonville once free agency starts next week. Yesterday, rumors began flying that the Jacksonville Jaguars will sign celebrated quarterback Nick Foles of the Philadelphia Eagles. If that is indeed the case, the Jags will be getting massive upgrade at quarterback, as it is expected they will release embattled, but likeable, QB Blake Bortles after five tumultuous years as the lead man under center. We haven’t heard any contract specific details yet, but because not many teams around the league are really looking for a quarterback at the moment, the Jaguars could potentially sign Foles for under market value- a rarity in today’s day and age. We’ll see how it all unfolds, but boy does it feel good talking a little football in March.

Giants CEO steps away
The MLB is investigating Giants president and CEO Larry Baer after an incident occurred where he pushed his wife to the ground. TMZ Sports caught an altercation between the couple on video where they were having a disagreement over his cell phone. Larry was trying to take his cell phone from her and pushed her to the ground. She screamed, “Oh my God! No!” as she was falling and he walked away with the phone. The couple released a join statement expressing regret over the incident, and Larry apologized further. The MLB’s rules about domestic violence apply to Larry, so he could face discipline. Ugh, hate this.
